Unit Converter Editor's Review

PicoConverter is an easy to use tool for converting to and from various units of measurement. The array of supported units of measurement is incredible. It can convert all the basic measurement units like 'kilogram', 'ton', 'mile', 'degrees Celsius', or 'pound', but it also supports some exotic units like 'eto', 'tical', 'crith', and so on.

I have to admit that I really don't know what most of these measurement units stand for. The nice thing about this program is that it organizes the units into categories. Three major categories are available for organizing Weight & Mass, Speed, and Length & Distance units. The smaller categories include "Power" measurement units, "Pressure" measurement units, and so on.

You can set the number of decimal digits that you want the program to display for any conversion. It's also possible to set the program to display numbers using the scientific notation (ex: 10 becomes 1.00E+0001). PicoConverter supports swapping of the measurement units you are converting and the results are always displayed in real-time. This means that you can see the result immediately after entering the desired value, without having to press any buttons.

Pluses: You can save pairs of measurement units into a favorites list. This allows you to easily access the conversions you use most.

Drawbacks / flaws:

In conclusion: This tool is definitely a must-have. You never know when a conversion software may come in handy, so you could install it on your computer even if you don't need it right now. It's free.
